Just a note to let you know everything arrived safely -- the old pre-1850's
Mason plate is a perfect pattern match to the Fenton jug -- it is sublime,
and the newer Mason's plate is beautiful also -- the polka jug is indeed the
smaller jug to the one I have -- if you find the largest size (larger than
the one you currently have), let me know!

vases i found a National Coal Board receipt to :
J. Davies, 2, Upper Y Levels and dated 1971. I'm not sure if the address is

I can't believe how quickly they arrived! The generals came today. No hassle

Diane, the plates are lovely and I've already got them hanging in their permanent
spaces---the blue one is even more striking than it was in the picture. .........
I'm very pleased with both of them and I must say, I think the package could
have been dropped from an airplane and still have been fine. I've never seen
such careful packing--there's no way they could have been damaged--you must
go through tons of tape to produce that degree of safety.
