Click HERE for bigger picture Here was have a Cavalry badge belonging to the 27th Lancers,that were authorised in 1940,the Elephants head came from the Mahratta War of 1803 and was worn byt he 27th Light Dragoons.A strong little badge,showing the Elephants head over the numerals "27"....This battalion came under the auspices of the Miscellaneous Cavarly and Royal Armoured Corps,and was disbanded in 1948. £20.

Click HERE for bigger picture THE CAMERONIANS,THE SCOTTISH RIFLES..This is a very fine strong badge in solid silver - not often seen.The badge showing the Mullet over the bugle,and the thistle wreath is a very attractive item.The Regiment was formed in 1881 under the Cardwell reforms,as this came about by the amalgamation of the 26th of foot (Cameronians) and the 90th of marching foot.(The Perthshire Light Infantry)The Regiment saw action in the Boer War and had 27 Battalions in the Great war.The Tartan and the Mullet came from the associations with the Clan Douglas.As a Rifle Regiment the Regiment carried no colours (Flags)..For sale £69...
