  • Military cap badges and helmet plates from the reign of Queen Victoria to post 2nd World War.

  • Please note,we do our best to ensure all badges are originals but we cannot guarantee this as some re-strikes have been in circulation for many years now, and it would be virtually impossible to differentiate especially if the same moulds as the originals were used.
  • Any defects or flaws will be mentioned.
  • We use Kipling and King for our reference book.,
  • We cannot take pictures of all these badges and we will refer you to the exact badge in K&K.
  • Also please note that we are not military experts but have dealt in Badges for 20 years.
  • If you know what you want do a quick search on this page by pressing CTRL F
  • *** as well as using Kipling and King we will also refer you to John Gaylors excellent book on Military cap badges which we also use as a reference***
  • ***We have an enviable reputation for supplying good quality old badges at reasonable prices. We realise that original badges can and do sell for far more with other dealers and at auctions, but we stand firm in holding our prices down as much as we possibly can. The result of doing this is that most of our first time buyers are so pleased that they return again and again, and subsequently stay on our books for years. We have a 98% success rate on all the badges we send out.If in the rare instances a buyer is not happy we refund in full with our no quibble guarantee. Please note you are safe with Glamorgan Antiques, we would never abuse your trust in us****

Please remember that each badge represents an Important historical era. Many badges have small features that have been incorporated into the badge by the designers and makers many years ago to commemorate for example a famous battle or event that the particular Regiment fought in.Try to investigate the history of the badge if at all possible, as you may not be aware of the Regiments past Glories on the Battlefields. Also the inter connections between Regiments that may have fought together or may have been unified years earlier/ All of this information contained in each Badge is now British History, and, at the present time it is very sad to see so many Ancient Regiments disappearing under the mantle of the unpopular Amalgamations.Who can forget the wonderful soul stirring names such as The South Wales Borderers,The Great Connaught Rangers or The Black Watch? However these names will never die, as they will live forever through the Badges and Insignia that we are most fortunate to be able to collect and preserve as a fitting memorial to the individual Regiments glorious past.
